The Establishment was founded by Ross and Claire in 2013, and the team they've built since has travelled a long way to land in Farnham - London, California, Toronto, Italy and beyond. Between them they hold decades of hands-on experience across colour, cutting and styling, alongside genuine industry credentials: BHA finalist quality, a Goldwell Color Zoom UK Top 4 place, and a senior education role inside one of the world's biggest professional haircare companies.
In the owners' own words, The Establishment is somewhere for creatives to be understood, nurtured and to grow at their own pace - a relaxed, non-intimidating but never unprofessional atmosphere. We celebrate diversity, and every member of the team, from directors to graduate stylists, is working to make The Establishment feel like a home for creatives and a place for everyone.
Mum and Dad said we had to earn our treats, so we spent our early years as security at the salon - performing millions of sniff tests and acting as staff support dogs on the bad days, which mostly involved rolling around on the floor with the team (and stealing their lunch on occasion, if a bag was left on the floor). Luckily, Dad put in cameras, so we're now retired, at 5 years old, and spend our days "working from home" at the security screen - handily, it's nearer to the food bowl, so life is good.
